Serpentine Vase – Print & Assembly Guide (Updated)
This serpentine-style vase features a dramatic curve, which requires support structures during printing to maintain its shape.
Printing Instructions
Supports (Required)
- Support Type: Tree supports (recommended) or normal supports
- Placement: Touching build plate (preferred) or everywhere if needed
- Support Density: 10–15%
- Support Overhang Angle: 50°–55%
- Support Interface: Enabled (for cleaner removal)
👉 Tree supports work best here because they reduce scarring on the visible curved surface.

-

Adhesion & Stability
- Use a brim (8–12 mm) — your print is tall and can tip
- Enable Z-hop (0.2–0.4 mm) to avoid nozzle collisions
- Make sure belts and frame are tight to reduce wobble
Post-Processing
- Carefully remove supports (pliers + patience helps).
- Light sanding may be needed where supports touched.
- Add weight (sand, stones, metal pellets) into the base.
- Seal the base using super glue or epoxy.
